Villager Workshops
In the week after a successfully conducted Clean-Up Programme, a Villager Programme is organised. Local residents are invited to join a workshop free of cost, in which they will be given information about the causes and effects of plastic pollution. University professors are invited to give speeches on these topics.
We ask the villagers specific questions:
- What do you know about plastic pollution and its effects on our ecosystem and our health?
- What could be feasible solutions to this problem?
- Which steps would you be willing to take?
By having villagers come forward and speak into the microphone, we give them a voice and open a dialogue between them and local authorities, who are also invited.
